Former Notre Dame commit Blake Barnett announces commitment to Alabama

Four-star quarterback Blake Barnett, who verbally committed to Notre Dame in November, announced his commitment to Alabama on Wednesday.

Barnett was rated as the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback by 247Sports.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound 18-year-old will challenge Blake Sims, Jacob Coker and a host of others for the starting role with the Crimson Tide thanks to the departure of AJ McCarron.
