Oklahoma announces addition of Dorial Green-Beckham
Dorial Green-Beckham's visit to Norman resulted in enrollment.
Oklahoma announced Thursday that the former standout Missouri wide receiver will join the football program this season and will be eligible to strap on the pads in 2015.
NCAA rule states that Green-Beckham must sit out a year of competition, but FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman reports that Oklahoma will pursue an NCAA player waiver designed to excuse him of the mandate.
Green-Beckham was dismissed from Missouri after an alleged incident with his girlfriend in April.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound wideout, with a firm grasp of what's at stake, released this statement via the program's official website.
I've disappointed myself and others in the past. I know that I have a lot of work to do and I’m ready to get started. [Oklahoma] is a great program and I feel privileged to be part of it. The university has made the expectations clear and I want to live up to them and be a positive part of the campus and team.
