Hawaii loses WR Stubblefield for season with torn ACL

Hawaii true freshman and potential starting wide receiver Devan Stubblefield will sit out the entire 2014 season after suffering a torn ACL, according to College Football Talk.
Head coach Norm Chow commented on what is a major loss as Stubblefield was showing a lot of promise and was expected to compete for a starting job.
"It's unfortunate and we feel so badly for the young man," Chow said. "He was one of our top prospects and we really felt he could help us this season. He still promises to be an outstanding player for us and we wish him a full recovery. It's just a bump in the road and someone will need to step up."
