Devonte Fields playing for Trinity Valley Community College this season
After legal issues saw Devonte Fields get dismissed from TCU, which in turn created difficulty in obtaining NCAA eligibility elsewhere, he has finally found somewhere to play football in 2014.
Fields will be staying in Texas to play the season at Trinity Valley Community College, per ESPN's Bill Coates.
Named the 2014 Preseason Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year prior to his dismissal, there is little doubting Fields' ability as a player, and all signs point to him having a highly productive season at the junior college level.
However, it is the off-field concerns that could affect his stock as a prospect heading into the 2015 NFL Draft. Despite what may be first-round talent on the field, teams will certainly be taking everything else into consideration as well.
