Tyler Murphy breaking Boston College quarterback mold with record rushing numbers

With his second-straight 100-yard rushing performance to start the 2014 season, Tyler Murphy is already in a league of his own when it comes to Boston College's history of quarterbacks.

The Eagles appear to be leaning on Murphy's athletic ability more than they have with any quarterback before him, but he brings an intriguing new dimension to the offense nonetheless. 

In games where the passing attack struggles to move the ball, as it has so far this year, Murphy's ability to keep plays alive and pick up yards on the ground should help wear down opposing defenses and open up opportunities for big plays in the process.
