How do you cater to one of the biggest fan bases in college football? Create a a beer making fun of one of its premier rivals, of course.
Independence Brewing Co. founders Rob and Amy Cartwright are big time Texas Longhorns fans and it certainly shows with the release of their seasonal beer: Oklahoma Suks.
The beer was originally released in 2006 as an ode to the rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma. It returns this week as a limited release in San Antonio, Houston, Austin and Dallas ahead of the Longhorns' Oct. 11 showdown against the Sooners at the Cotton Bowl.
Cheers.
