Chaos in Colorado as mascot 'Ralphie the Buffalo' gets loose in pregame show
Animals are a traditional (and an often comical) part of college football. For instance, one might wonder what goes through the head of Bevo during Texas Longhorn games, but one also can't help but love the sight of the lovely orange steer.
Saturday in Colorado marked a far less lovely sight, and one of those times where a wild animal decides to be a wild animal.
"Ralphie the Buffalo," Colorado's eight-year-old mascot - who takes part in the Buffaloes' gameday traditions - tore loose from her handlers Saturday before a game versus the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.
The ensuing chaos saw at least five handlers sprinting behind the Buffalo as she appeared to charge toward nothing in particular:
Apparently - when Ralphie is a 500-plus pound buffalo - Ralphie does what Ralphie wants.
