VIDEO: Lou Holtz calls Nebraska's Abdullah 'Ameer Muhammad'
Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE
ESPN commentator and college-football coaching legend Lou Holtz called Nebraska Heisman-hopeful Ameer Abdullah "Ameer Muhammad" during a Saturday broadcast.
At the age of 77, Holtz can be expected to mess up a few names here and there. Still, the error was made twice in the same segment by Holtz, and Abdullah isn't exactly an obscure college football player.
Holtz has been with ESPN since 2005. He is the only college football coach to lead six different programs to bowl games and the only coach to guide four different programs to the final top 20 rankings.
No. 19 Nebraska took on No. 10 Michigan State Saturday night in East Lansing.
