Report: Stanford's Devon Cajuste out Saturday vs. Arizona State, Austin Hooper questionable
Stanford wide receiver Devon Cajuste won't play Saturday against No. 17 Arizona State, according to Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News.
The nature of the injury is unknown, but after taking a hard hit against Washington State on Friday, Cajuste wobbled off the field.
Head coach David Shaw said not having him in the lineup will create a glaring hole in his offense.
"He has been a big-play guy the last year and a half, he can change field position," he said.
This season, Cajuste is the Cardinal's second-leading receiver, with 243 yards and three touchdowns on 18 touches.
Shaw also indicated that redshirt freshman tight end Austin Hooper is questionable.
Hooper is another key target for quarterback Kevin Hogan, cashing in 202 yards and one touchdown on 16 receptions.
