AT&T is parting ways with the Cotton Bowl, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy.

This year's bowl will be played at the Dallas Cowboys' home field, already named AT&T Stadium. The sponsor doesn't see the point in continuing to pay for the naming rights when it already owns the naming rights for the stadium.

The Cotton Bowl is the fourth of 2015's six bowls that has changed its naming rights sponsor in the past year.

The Capital One Orange Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl have all switched, while the Rose Bowl changed its presenting sponsor to Northwestern Mutual.

The Cotton Bowl, the College Football Playoff's first national championship game, will be played on Jan. 12, 2015.
