West Virginia's Elijah Wellman cited for disorderly conduct in weekend riots

A West Virginia football player was among those cited in the weekend celebration riots that set Morgantown ablaze in celebration of the Mountaineers toppling the then-No. 4 Baylor 41-27.
According to MetroNews, the Morgantown Police Department identified tight end/fullback Elijah Wellman among the more than 24 people connected to Saturday's late-night riots.
The 20-year-old redshirt freshman received a citation for disorderly conduct.
According to emergency records, some 114 emergency 911 calls were placed to the Monongalia County emergency management agency, along with 135 non-emergency calls and 126 incidents requiring public-safety responses.
