Penn State considering throwback uniforms

Penn State has been noticeably absent from the weekly unveiling of college football alternate uniforms, and it appears the Nittany Lions will not be revealing a new look any time soon. 

Head coach James Franklin assured Penn State's traditional fan base Thursday that the basic blue-and-white uniforms the team is known for will remain, reports Joe Hermitt of Penn Live.   

However, Franklin said he has spoken with Nike about creating a throwback uniform to highlight the apparel changes made at Penn State over the years. 

The Nittany Lions host the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET.
