Florida State defensive end Chris Casher's lawsuit has been voluntarily dropped.
Adam Ellis, who defended Casher in his school code of conduct hearing, sued his client in mid-October after he didn't pay $2,500 in legal fees.
But the status of the case is now listed as closed after Leon County court received a notice of dismissal on Oct. 28 from Ellis, ESPN's Jared Shanker reports.
Casher faced a student code of conduct hearing for his role in the 2012 alleged sexual assault involving teammate Jameis Winston and another FSU student.
When interviewed by police, Casher said he witnessed and filmed parts of the incident but deleted the video and no longer had the cellphone.
