Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon leaves game after injury scare
Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon left the Badgers game Saturday vs. Rutgers in the fourth quarter.
While trying to catch a pass, the junior running back appeared to injure his knee, when the helmet of a teammate slammed into Gordon's left knee.
Though he was able to walk to the sideline on his own, he didn't return to the Badgers next offensive play which had fellow running back Corey Clement charge 36 yards for a touchdown.
After getting looked at by the team's training staff, Gordon re-joined his teammates but did not re-enter the game, likely because of the score.
Gordon rushed for 128 yards on 19 carries with two touchdowns prior to leaving the game. Clement also scored twice on the day.
The Badgers lead 37-0 early in the fourth quarter.
