Brother of USF's Quinton Flowers killed

University of Southern Florida freshman quarterback Quinton Flowers was informed Thursday his half-brother was killed in a Miami neighborhood.

Flowers's older sibling, 24-year-old Bradley Holt, was shot in the head in front of an apartment building by someone driving in a vehicle, the Tampa Bay Times' Joey Knight reported. 

The incident occurred days before Flowers was slated to make his first collegiate start against Southern Methodist University.
