Missouri clinches SEC East, spot in conference title game with win over Arkansas
No. 17 Missouri has clinched the SEC East title with a 21-14 win over Arkansas.
Missouri will represent the SEC East in Atlanta for the second year in a row after falling to Auburn by a score of 59-42 in last year's SEC title game.
Missouri trailed for much of Friday's game against Arkansas before pulling away on a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns.
Missouri outgained Arkansas 423-288 in the game. Tigers quarterback Maty Mauk completed 25-of-42 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown with an interception.
Should Alabama beat Auburn on Saturday, the Crimson Tide would represent the SEC West in the conference title game. If Alabama were to lose and Mississippi State were to beat Ole Miss, the Bulldogs would play in the conference title game. If both were to lose, Alabama would represent the West in Atlanta.
