Iowa offensive tackle Brandon Scherff won the Outland Trophy on Thursday.
The award is presented to college football's best interior lineman.
Scherff, a senior, is the fourth Hawkeye to ever win the award, the others being Robert Gallery in 2003, Alex Karras in 1957 and Cal Jones in 1955.
Scherff beat out Texas defensive tackle Malcolm Brown and Auburn center Reese Dismukes for the award.
