Oklahoma State wide receiver Tyreek Hill was arrested Thursday evening "based on probable cause for domestic abuse by strangulation," according to a report by the Stillwater Police Department

The 20-year-old victim told police that she and Hill, whom she identified as her boyfriend, were involved in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation at his residence. The victim stated that Hill reportedly "struck her in the face and stomach and choked her" during the argument.

She sought treatment at the emergency room, where police were called. The victim's injuries were consistent with her account and she was then treated and released from the hospital.

Hill was arrested later that evening by investigating officers.

Domestic abuse by strangulation is a felony punishable by one-to-three years of imprisonment and/or a $3,000 fine.
