Oklahoma State's Tyreek Hill dismissed from team after arrest
Oklahoma State wide receiver Tyreek Hill was dismissed from the team Friday after being arrested for domestic abuse by strangulation on Thursday.
The junior had 31 catches for 281 yards and a touchdown this season. He added 534 yards rushing with another score, and earned second-team All-Big 12 honors as a kick and punt returner.
The school issued the following statement regarding Hill's arrest and dismissal:
Oklahoma State University does not tolerate domestic abuse or violence. Based on the evidence and the serious allegations that have been made, head football coach Mike Gundy has announced that Tyreek Hill has been dismissed from the OSU football team. He also has been dismissed from the track team. The allegations are under investigation by Stillwater Police and by the OSU Office of Student Conduct. Those processes will proceed independently.
