Oregon's Marcus Mariota, Alabama's Amari Cooper headline AP All-America Team
Oregon's Heisman-winning quarterback Marcus Mariota and Alabama star wide receiver Amari Cooper headline the AP All-America Team, which was released Tuesday.
Participants from the inaugural College Football Playoff are well represented. Florida State leads the way with three first-team All-Americans, a number matched only by Washington.
Oregon and Alabama each have two, and Ohio State has one. Mariota is the first Ducks quarterback to be an All-American.
The Pac-12 produced the most players on the first team, with seven. The ACC is next with six. The SEC and Big Ten each has four, and the Big 12 has three.
