Kansas wide receiver Nigel King will forego his final year of school to declare for the NFL Draft, the school announced Friday.
A North Carolina native, the junior spent one year at KU after completing his degree at Maryland.
"I felt like I was ready to come out," he said. "In my heart this is what I wanted to do. My time at Kansas was a great experience. I learned a lot from the coaches and met some really great people."
King recorded 518 receiving yards and one touchdown on 29 receptions.
