Oklahoma co-offensive coordinator Josh Heupel fired

Oklahoma has dismissed co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel.
The firing was first reported by Thayer Evans of Sports Illustrated.
Head coach Bob Stoops is expected to make a formal announcement in a press conference later Tuesday morning.
Heupel took to Twitter with a statement that confirms that he is no longer with the Sooners.

Oklahoma, who finished with an 8-5 record, was 21st in the FBS in points per game, averaging 36.4 points.
