Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott broke the record for rushing yards in a national championship game with a touchdown run late in the third quarter of the Buckeyes 42-20 win over Oregon

That run gave him 203 yards on the day. The previous record was 200 yards, set by Texas quarterback Vince Young in 2006.

Elliott added two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter, and finished the game with 246 yards and four scores on 36 carries. The 246 yards were also a career high for Elliott and the most in a bowl game in Ohio State history.
