TCU's Trevone Boykin to undergo wrist surgery
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports
TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin is expected to have surgery on the wrist he injured late last season.
The procedure will take care of a fractured bone in his left wrist and will sideline him for five weeks, according to David Ubben of FOX Sports.
Fortunately for the Horned Frogs and Boykin, he's only pegged to miss spring ball with full intentions of returning for voluntary summer workouts.
Beyond finishing fourth in voting for the Heisman Trophy, Boykin garnered numerous accolades including the Big 12's Offensive Player of the Year award. He led TCU to a 12-1 record.
