Georgia Tech student Ryan Gregory Pickren was accepted into a pretrial intervention program after hacking Georgia's computer network ahead of their rivalry game.
Pickren, who hacked into the Bulldogs' athletics website to post "Sat., November 29, 2014/ 12:00 pm/ Get Ass Kicked by GT" on their online calender, will have the felony computer charge against him dismissed if he successfully completes the program, according to Joe Johnson of The Athens Banner-Herald.
The 21-year-old was indicted on Dec. 16 for computer trespass, a felony punishable by a maximum of 15 years in jail and a $50,000 fine.
To complete the program, he must serve 80 hours of community service, pay a $300 fee and write a handwritten apology to Georgia.
