Cal assistant coach dismissed following arrest for solicitation
BERKELEY, Calif. - California recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach Pierre Ingram has been dismissed for solicitation of a lewd act.
"We are not renewing his contract & he will no longer represent or act on behalf of this University in any capacity," the university said in a statement.
The Bay Area News Group reported that Ingram allegedly solicited an undercover officer online and later attempted to meet her in person at a motel. He was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor solicitation of a lewd act and has a court date set for May.
Also the Golden Bears' passing game coordinator, Ingram came to Cal with head coach Sonny Dykes from Louisiana Tech.
He is a 2006 graduate of Middle Tennessee, where he was a four-year wide receiver.
