Michigan State linebacker Drake Martinez cleared to play immediately

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State linebacker Drake Martinez will be eligible to play in 2015 after receiving a waiver from the Big Ten.
Martinez, a junior college transfer, will have three years of eligibility remaining. He started eight games in 2014 for Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California.
Martinez began his college career at Nebraska, where he redshirted in 2013. His brother Taylor played quarterback at Nebraska from 2010-13.
