SEC changes bylaws, will not allow transfers disciplined for 'serious misconduct'

The SEC voted to pass Georgia's proposal to ban transfers who were disciplined for "serious misconduct" at their previous school, the conference announced Friday.
The league will define "serious misconduct" as "sexual assault, domestic violence or other forms of sexual violence," according to Jon Solomon of CBS Sports.
Incoming SEC commissioner Greg Sankey said he's unaware of any other leagues having a similar policy, and believes the conference can lead on this issue.
The move likely stems from Alabama's decision to bring on Jonathan Taylor, who was dismissed from Georgia following a domestic violence incident. Taylor was later dismissed from the Tide before ever playing a game following a new arrest on domestic violence charges.
