PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh star wide receiver Tyler Boyd is facing a DUI charge and several traffic violations stemming from a traffic stop last week.
Jefferson Hills police formally charged the 20-year-old Boyd on Tuesday. A police report says Boyd was pulled over around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning after trying to pass another car. Boyd told police he had ''two shots'' during the evening. He took a breath test and submitted to a blood test before being released to a family member. The results are pending.
Boyd is also charged with underage drinking, careless driving, driving on the left side of the roadway and driving with alcohol in his system as a minor. Boyd is from Clairton, Pennsylvania, a suburb about 15 miles south of Pittsburgh.
