Vernon Adams Jr. must pass a math class before he can join Oregon
Eastern Washington quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. announced his intention to transfer to Oregon to play out his final year of NCAA eligibility back in February, but he still has some work to do in Washington.
Adams told Andrew Greif of The Oregonian that he needs to pass "two more tests" in a math class and file the paperwork to finalize his degree. After that, he can complete the process of making his move to Eugene. As a graduate transfer, he would be immediately eligible to suit up for the Ducks.
"I'm excited to get cleared and get everything done and done the right way and I'm just excited to be here and to be a Duck," Adams said. "I've got to finish up a couple more things and I'll be good."
After that, Adams appears ready to become a Duck and face his next challenge - competing with Jeff Lockie for Oregon's vacant starting quarterback job.
