Report: NFL Hall of Famer Howie Long donates $1M to Villanova

Villanova will reportedly get a new training center, courtesy of its NFL Hall of Fame alumnus.
Howie Long and his wife Diane reportedly donated $1 million to Wildcats athletics to build the Howie Long Strength Training Center, according to NFL Network's Gil Brandt.
Long was a four-year letterman at Villanova, beginning his college career as a tight end, but moved to defensive end. He also ran track and boxed, earning the Northern Collegiate Heavyweight Boxing Champion title.
Picked in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders, he stayed with the Raiders until retirement. He won one Super Bowl and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
