Former Oklahoma star Tony Casillas calls out Sooners on Mixon incident
Former Oklahoma defensive tackle Tony Casillas took to Facebook to criticize how the Sooners handled running back Joe Mixon's assault case.
Mixon served a 2014 season suspension after he was accused of punching a woman and leaving her unconscious with four broken facial bones. The running back was later allowed to join the team.
The former All-American Casillas did not mince words when it came to Mixon's situation, comparing it to how Oklahoma treated the Sigma Alpha Epsilon members after a recording of their racist chant was revealed. The fraternity's chapter was kicked off campus and two members were expelled.

As a graduate from Oklahoma, and proud of it , every kid should get a second chance, not just an athlete. Just my perspective.

Parallels have been drawn recently between Mixon's case and that of Florida State quarterback De'Andre Johnson, who was dismissed following the release of a video showing him punching a woman in the face at a bar. Although a video exists of the Mixon incident, a district judge ruled in February not to release the tape to the public.
