Report: Ex-Auburn defensive end Elijah Daniel commits to Youngstown State

John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

Former Auburn defensive end Elijah Daniel has joined a new Division 1 program, committing to play for Youngstown State, according to multiple reports.

The Avon, Ind., product was dismissed from the Tigers last spring after he was arrested on burglary and theft charges.

He shared the team lead in quarterback hurries with 17 last season, he also had a sack and was in on 15 tackles, including 3.5 for losses.

In Youngstown, Daniel will play under first-year head coach Bo Pelini, who had previously served in the same role with Nebraska from 2007 to 2014.
