Texas Tech's Kyle Heffron in stable condition after rupturing spleen in car wreck
A Texas Tech football player was seriously injured in a car accident Wednesday in Lubbock, Texas.
Longsnapper Kyle Heffron was ejected from a white pickup truck after it crashed into an underpass, police told NBC-affiliate KCBD.
The 20-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A member of the Heffron family said on Twitter that Kyle appeared to be in stable condition, and is undergoing surgery for a ruptured spleen.
My family and I appreciate everyone's prayers and concerns.
