VIDEO: Western Michigan surprises walk-on with scholarship during onside kick

Trevor Sweeney had to work for his scholarship, in more ways than one.

The walk-on junior running back from Western Michigan, who primarily plays on special teams, was fielding an onside kick at a recent practice, only the drill had a twist.

There was a scholarship offer attached to the ball.

Sweeney will likely never have a more important recovery during his career.
