Nebraska did all it needed to do for 60 minutes to ensure a victory in Mike Riley's first game as head coach of the program, but that victory was stolen from the Cornhuskers after time expired.

With starting quarterback Taysom Hill knocked out of the game, BYU freshman Tanner Mangum stepped in and completed a 42-yard Hail Mary pass to senior wide receiver Mitch Mathews, who caught the ball just in front of the goal line but was able to fall backwards into the end zone to give the Cougars the 33-28 victory.
