VIDEO: Kansas State band apologizes for raunchy halftime show blunder
Well, this is awkward.
The Kansas State marching band has apologized for a shot they took at rival Kansas that went indecently awry on Saturday.
During the season-opening halftime show against South Dakota, the band was trying to show a Jayhawk being attacked by the USS Enterprise. Unfortunately, the Internet - as they are wont to do - noticed that the starship looked like a tad similar to something a bit more raunchy: male genitalia.
The school subsequently issued an apology, and provided a diagram of what they intended the ship to look like:
We apologize for anyone offended by our halftime performance depicting the starship enterprise and the Jayhawk mascot.
