VIDEO: Notre Dame shows some razzle dazzle with fake field goal

In football, when you're the visiting team on the road, the rule of thumb is to take the field goal on your opening drive. Brian Kelly and the Fighting Irish apparently didn't get the memo when facing Virginia.
With kicker Justin Yoon lined up for a chip shot field goal, backup quarterback DeShone Kizer executed the gadget play perfectly, shoveling it to Durham Smythe for the opening score.
Notre Dame's aggressive play-calling didn't end there. The Irish went for two points right after the fake. The Cavaliers were prepared this time, stopping Malik Zaire just short of the goal line.
