Two Purdue players arrested on minor alcohol, weed charges
Two Purdue freshmen were arrested over the weekend for minor consumption of alcohol and possession of marijuana, according to Mike Carmin of the Indianapolis Star.
Linebacker Wyatt Cook, arrested for consumption, and Chazmyn Turner, arrested for possession, were both released from Tippecanoe County Jail on Saturday night.
Neither player has appeared in a game this season.
Associate athletic director for communications Matt Rector said head coach Darrell Hazell is aware of the incident.
This is the second incident in the last three weeks involving Boilermaker players. Freshmen Evyn Cooper and David Rose were arrested for allegedly stealing bicycles and suspended for two games.
Earlier this summer, Gelen Robinson was arrested. He's facing three misdemeanor charges, and was suspended for the first two games of the season.
