Tennessee dismisses Pig Howard

Tennessee receiver Pig Howard has been dismissed from the program, head coach Butch Jones announced Wednesday.
Jones didn't give any specifics as to why, only to say the reasons are not injury related. Howard was suspended for the Volunteers' season opener for violating team rules.
Howard becomes the second notable SEC receiver to be dismissed this week after Auburn's D'haquille Williams was recently let go.
The wideout has been dealing with an ankle issue that limited him to two games this season and just a single reception.
Howard caught 54 passes for 618 yards as a junior last season.
