Florida's Jonathan Bullard: Fournette's 'nothing that we can't stop'
Florida defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard may be embarking down a slippery slope, if recent history is any indication.
Bullard had a bold claim regarding the nation's leading rusher - and Heisman favorite - Leonard Fournette ahead of Saturday's big matchup with LSU.
"He's nothing that we can't stop," Bullard said.
Auburn defensive back Rudy Ford had similar thoughts before the Tigers' matchup against LSU. Fournette proceeded to torch Ford's team, rushing for 228 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-21 victory.
Through five games this season, Fournette has 1,022 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Bullard is no slouch, however, registering 4.5 sacks and 26 tackles so far in his senior campaign.
Both No. 6 LSU and No. 8 Florida are undefeated, and the winner of Saturday's showdown in Death Valley will emerge as the favorite in the SEC.
