Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn is sticking with Sean White as his quarterback, indicating Tuesday that White will be behind center when the Tigers play Arkansas on Saturday.
The Tigers have won two straight games, but that doesn't mean they no longer have a quarterback controversy. Since White took over, they're 2-1, the same record they had with Jeremy Johnson at the helm.
White also hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in his three starts, and has only managed to break 200 yards passing once. He's completed 23 passes combined in his last two outings.
The one thing White is doing well is protecting the football. He's thrown just one pick since taking over, compared to Johnson's six.
Even if Johnson is the superior athlete, White's ball security is undoubtedly the reason Malzahn feels more comfortable sticking with the freshman.
