Pitt safety Pat Amara left the program and is planning to transfer, head coach Pat Narduzzi announced Friday.
Amara played in 18 games for the Panthers over the past two campaigns, totaling 32 tackles and one interception.
The sophomore hasn't made it clear where he intends to go, but he'll have to sit out a year before he's eligible to play for a new team.
