Royce Freeman sets Oregon single-season rushing record
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Oregon's Royce Freeman stands alone.
Freeman picked up four yards in the final quarter of the Alamo Bowl against TCU to break the school's single-season rushing record, previously held by LaMichael James.
Freeman entered the game needing 100 yards to break the record, which James set back in 2011.
When the sophomore hit the century mark Saturday, it was his 17th career 100-yard game.
James still holds the career rushing record with 5,082 yards.
