The Detroit Lions continue to add former college head coaches to their staff, hiring Al Golden to work with their tight ends.

Golden was fired by Miami after four-and-a-half seasons at the helm, leading the Hurricanes to a disappointing 32-35 record. Prior to that, Golden coached Temple for five seasons.

The move comes on the heels of former Maryland and UConn coach Randy Edsall being brought on as director of football research, adding head coaching experience throughout the staff.

Golden also interviewed with the Dallas Cowboys for their defensive backs coaching position, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
