Nebraska parts ways with defensive line coach Hank Hughes

Defensive line coach Hank Hughes won't return to Nebraska for the 2016 season, head coach Mike Riley announced Friday. Hughes spent just one year with the Cornhuskers program.
"I want to thank Hank for his hard work and contributions to our football program over the past year," Riley said in a statement.
The move was somewhat unexpected, as Hughes attended the 'Big Red Bash' Thursday evening to celebrate the 2016 recruiting class.
Hughes came over to Nebraska from Cincinnati, where he was co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach.
He had one year left on his contract, which reportedly paid him $300,000 annually.
