Georgia flips 2017 4-star QB Jake Fromm from Alabama

Four-star quarterback Jake Fromm announced Thursday he's flipping his 2017 commitment from Alabama to Georgia.

The new pledge gives the 6-foot-2 pocket passer a chance to play closer to his hometown of Warner Robins, Ga. ESPN ranks Fromm as the No. 6 pocket passer in the 2017 recruiting class, and the 148th prospect overall.
It's still early, but playing time could be tough to come by for Fromm in Athens, as he'll arrive one year after prized recruit Jacob Eason.
