Michigan has defeated Boston University 6-3 to advance to the Frozen Four.

The Wolverines opened the scoring early in the first on a goal by defenseman Quinn Hughes, a top prospect in the 2019 NHL draft.

However, the Terriers replied quickly on a tally from forward Jordan Greenway, a Minnesota Wild prospect. Brady Tkachuk, a projected top pick in this year's draft, picked up his lone point of the game with an assist on Greenway's goal.

Michigan carried a 2-1 lead into the second period courtesy of a powerplay marker from winger Tony Calderone late in the opening frame. Brendan Warren, a prospect of the Philadelphia Flyers, pushed Michigan's advantage to 3-1 early in the second.

Goals by Patrick Curry and Drew Melanson later evened the score for the Bulldogs, but it wasn't enough as the Wolverines potted three unanswered, including an empty netter by Nick Pastujov to seal the victory.

Michigan moves on to the Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minnesota and will face Notre Dame in a national semifinal on April 5.
