NHL Daily Fantasy Dose - Penguins Look to March into Round 2

Here's a look at the NHL daily fantasy picture for Saturday's three-game playoff slate:
Bargain Plays
- G Matt Murray, Penguins (vs. Rangers): Despite a rising price, Murray is still the cheapest of the six expected starters on most sites, and he's arguably been the best of the bunch. After suffering a head injury in the season finale, the rookie returned for Games 3 and 4 of the first round without missing a beat, allowing just one goal as the Penguins won both meetings in New York to set up a potential series-clincher at home. Overall, the Penguins have won nine of the last 10 games started by the 21-year-old, with the lone loss being in the aforementioned season finale where Murray left before the end of the first period.

- LW Richard Panik, Blackhawks (vs. Blues): Panik was the preferred linemate of Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews in Game 5, playing just over 21 minutes and recording an assist on Kane's winning goal in double overtime. The Czech native also recorded three shots while seeing far and away his biggest role in the series to date.
Top Teammate Plays
- C Evgeni Malkin and LW Conor Sheary, Penguins (vs. Rangers): Malkin has a three-game point streak, and broke out in a big way in Game 4, with two goals, two assists and six shots. His linemates aren't set in stone, so fellow rover Sheary, who has played on Malkin and Sidney Crosby's respective units at times, makes for a viable (and budget-friendly) complement. The 5-foot-9 Sheary has a goal, an assist and eight shots over the series' four games.

- RW Vladimir Tarasenko and LW Jaden Schwartz, Blues (at Blackhawks): Tarasenko and Schwartz are tied for the team lead with three goals and two assists each; Schwartz has scored in three straight games, while firing nine shots in that stretch. Tarasenko has managed at least four shots in all but one game of the series, and had two goals, two assists and 12 shots over Games 3 and 4 in Chicago. If the Blues are to overcome their playoff demons and knock off the defending champions, their top-line pairing will undoubtedly be a big reason why.

Contrarian Options
- D Brady Skjei, Rangers (at Penguins): The near-minimum priced Skjei could also double as a bargain play, but given the Rangers have scored just one goal in their last two games, it's appropriate to place any Blueshirt in the contrarian category. The rookie sees around 20 minutes of ice time per game, and has seen some power play action as well. In four games, he's recorded an assist, three blocks and three shots.
- G Pekka Rinne, Predators (at Ducks): The road team has won every game in the Anaheim-Nashville clash, and Rinne stopped 54 of 58 shots in backstopping a pair of victories in Games 1 and 2. While Rinne allowed seven goals over two games in Nashville, he only received a total of one goal of offensive support. If the Predators' big guns can start firing again, Rinne could find himself in the win column.
