Steve Lombardi, better known as the Brooklyn Brawler, has been let go by the WWE after over 30 years with the organization, Pro Wrestling Insider reports.
Cynthia Heenan, whose husband, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, once managed Lombardi, confirmed the news Tuesday on Twitter:

Lombardi joined the then-WWF in 1983 and began competing as the Brooklyn Brawler six years later. His greatest success came in July 2000, when he defeated Triple H in a handicap match.
Although he retired from full-time in-ring competition in the late '90s, Lombardi still made occasional appearances on "Raw" and at some events.
